The latest release 2.0.10 of the Instana Agent operator may cause issues when running upgrades on the OpenShift clusters

Due to the update on February 21st, agent upgrades via operator on OpenShift may encounter issues due to OpenShift’s OLM bug where it incorrectly believes that existing versions of InstanaAgent CRD are invalid against the new CRD.

The solution is to:
Uninstall the operator from the openshift-operators namespace including all dependent resources
Manually modify the InstanaAgent CRD and remove the v1beta1 and conversion sections
Reinstall the operator
